25 | On 5/1/24, at 11:45 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Elvin Baddley made an unannounced Case Management inspection at the request of the Licensee, Maria Loeza. LPA met with the Licensee and explained the purpose of the inspection. LPA notes the Licensee's adult child, Julio Loeza, is on site assisting with communication between the Licensee and LPA as Licensee is primarily Spanish speaking. LPA, in the company of the Licensee toured the interior of the home. At the time of the inspection, no children are on site or in care. Licensee request inspection of the FCCH in order to utilized a laundry room to move children from the main residence to the outdoor play area/backyard. LPA notes the laundry room was only used as an emergency exit for children prior to the request for inspection.
LPA inspected the laundry room and notes cabinets obtaining cleaning solutions and product are elevated and outside the reach of child. Lower cabinets in the laundry room contain household goods which are none hazardous (i.e. linens, family clothing, etc). The washer and dryer in the laundry room area contain child safety devices. The laundry room contains a heater which will be blocked when the laundry room door is opened/accessed. LPA notes the laundry room is suitable to be used by children in care as a passage point from the main residence to the outdoor play area/backyard. LPA informed LIcensee the area should not be used as an area for children's play or rest.
No deficiencies were cited during today's inspection. LPA provided Licensee a Notice of Site Visit (LIC 9213) form to be posted. LPA reminded Licensee the Notice of Site Visit should be posted for 30 days or a civil penalty of $100 may apply.
