On 1/29/2025 at 1:45 PM Licensing Program Analyst (LPAs) Gigi Reyes conducted an unannounced annual inspection at the above Family Childcare Home (FCCH). LPA met with Licensee, Liliana Gallegos and discussed the purpose of the inspection. FCCH operates Monday to Friday, and Sunday 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Licensee provides care for children aged 0 to 12 years of age.

The FCCH is located at the South Hills Crossing Apartment Complex. Licensee accompanied LPA on a tour of the home. At the time of the inspection, no children were present. LPA observed all required forms are posted in prominent location within the home. The carbon monoxide and smoke detectors were tested and found functional. The regulation fire extinguisher was purchased on 12/26/2024. Children’s bathroom is free of toxins. Sharps, medicines, and toxins are stored in the area inaccessible to children in care.
LPA reviewed the facility file and found that the Pediatric CPR and First Aid certificate is current with expiration 6/7/2025 date of while Mandated Reporter Training expires on 6/2/2025. LPA reviewed Children’s records and found complete including the LIC 9227 Infant Safe Sleep Plan enrolled infant. Licensee checks and document napping infants every 15 minutes.
Childcare facility roster is current. Nobodies of water was observed. Licensee stated there are no are guns and ammunition in the home.

The FCCH is not providing Incidental Medical Services (IMS). IMS policy was discussed. For IMS information see PIN 22-02-CCP. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department. Licensee, Liliana Gallegos was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain childcare by connecting them to childcare providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California.

During the exit interview, the LICENSEE, Liliana Gallegos confirmed that there are no Registered Sex Offenders living in the facility and LPA completed the RSO profile in FAS.

In the areas evaluated, no deficiencies were cited.



Due to time constraints, the inspection will continue on a different date as the licensee needs to leave o pick up the school age day care children from elementary school.

A notice of site visit was given to Licensee and must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days.

Licensee, was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with licensee, and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource.

LPA also informed licensee, the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment.
