25 | On 9/27/24 at 9:15 AM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Elvin Baddley and Matthew Sapien conducted an unannounced Case Management Inspection (Licensee-Initiated) of the abovementioned Family Child Care Home (FCCH) to assess the feasibility of providing child care in previously excluded areas of the FCCH (guest room and side yard of home). LPAs met with Licensee, Amorita Sjogren. LPAs toured the interior and exterior of the FCCH. There are 5 children in care during the inspection.
LPAs inspected excluded guest room and side yard of the FCCH. LPAs confirmed that the guest room is adequate for child care services. LPAs observed no hazards in the guest room. Additionally, the guest room has ventilation and accommodations to afford for child care. LPAs note, the guest room has one closet which is secured and inaccessible to children in care.
Like the guest room, the exterior side yard was inspected and found to be adequate for child care services. The side yard contains varied footing and is enclosed by wooden fencing, like the rest of the backyard. LPAs confirmed that there are no hazards to children in care in the side yard.
Licensee provided an updated Facility Sketch (LIC-999) to LPAs.
No deficiencies were cited and exit interview was conducted and reviewed with with Licensee, Amorita Sjogren. |
