25 | On May 13, 2026 at 1:45 PM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Bill Billones and Joaquin Mendez conducted an unannounced Case Management - Licensee Initiated inspection to license a currently off-limit bedroom of the home. LPAs met with Licensee Amorita Sjogren and discussed the purpose of the inspection. LPAs and Licensee toured the home. Licensee and 7 children were present in the home during inspection. LPAs note a therapist arrived at the facility during the inspection.
The home is a four (4) bedroom two (2) bath home. The home was inspected for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation, inaccessibility to poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children.
During the inspection of the day care bathroom, LPAs observed personal care products accessible to children in care. LPAs reminded Licensee to ensure inaccessibility of items that state keep out of children’s reach.
LPAs observed the unlicensed bedroom (bedroom #2) inspected today does not meet Title 22 regulations. Bedroom #2 will require the following corrections to be submitted via photo proof to LPA’s Department email:
- Removal of potential hazards in Bedroom #2’s closet and/or addition of closet door locks or latches to make it inaccessible to children in care.
The licensed areas will continue to be two bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, and outdoor play areas will be utilized for child care purposes.
In areas evaluated, one Type B deficiency is being cited, which can be found on the attached LIC 809-D.
Exit interview conducted, notice of site visit provided and report was reviewed with Licensee, Amorita Sjogren.
