25 | On 7/28/26, at 9:40 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Matthew Sapien conducted an unannounced annual random inspection visit to the abovementioned Family Child Care Home (FCCH). LPA met with Dawn Glove, Licensee of the FCCH, and explained the purpose of the inspection. LPA, in the company of Licensee, toured the FCCH in its entirety. The home possesses 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The residence is a single story home. The areas that are accessible for day care children are the following: living room, dining room, primary bedroom, primary bathroom, and most of the backyard. The remainder of the home is excluded from childcare services. Rooms and areas that are off-limits are made secure by child safety locks and knobs. At the time of the inspection, LPA observed 10 day care children present, none of which were infants. LPA also observed the Licensee's adult son on site helping with the care and supervision of children (cleared and associated).
LPA observed the FCCH to be clean and in order. The bathroom, which is utilized for childcare, was found to be clean and free of toxic items. LPA observed personal medications in elevated hallway cabinets and on top of the refrigerator in the kitchen. No children currently require medication at the moment. Primary cleaning solutions are stored in a locked cabinet beneath the kitchen sink and in the laundry room, an area that is inaccessible for children. Sharps, like kitchen knives, are stored on top of the kitchen refrigerator.
LPA observed age-appropriate toys, furnishings, and equipment throughout the primary play areas. In the living room, LPA observed a wood burning fireplace that is barricaded and enclosed by a child safety gate. Licensee informed LPA that the stove is not used during or outside of day care hours. Licensee informed LPA that there are two cats that remain in an inaccessible bedroom. The cats are current on their vaccines, however, don't have interactions with children in care.
