25 | On 4/7/2025 at 8:35AM., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Luis Gomez met with Director, Tiffany Teele. The purpose of today's visit was explained and was for an unannounced, annual random inspection. This facility is licensed to operate a preschool-age, parent co-op program. Present was Director and 2 staff supervising 12 children. Per director, 5 parent volunteers are present onsite. Facility staff present have criminal record clearances on file. Children present had been signed in. The program utilizes 3 classrooms including the: Kitchen/ Activity Art Room; Block Room; Discovery Room, and one outdoor play space on the upper level. Per director, Days and hours of operation are Monday- Friday. Per director, on Fridays, facility operates: 9:00AM- 4:30PM. On Tuesday and Thursdays: 9:00AM- 11:30AM, and on Monday and Wednesdays: 9:00AM- 1:30PM. Per director, program has two, morning and afternoon, cohort groups. Per director, the afternoon cohort operates on Fridays only. LPA inspected facility, indoors and outdoors, for health and safety hazards.
At 8:50AM., LPA observed the following: Classrooms were neat, clean, with age-appropriate materials and playthings available for the children. Floors, stairways, passages, and walking surfaces were clear of obstructions or potential hazards. Classrooms were equipped with cabinets, tables, and chairs, scaled to the appropriate size. Materials and supplies inspected were good repair. LPA observed labeled cubbies for children’s belongings. The children’s bathroom was clean, with adequate supplies for handwashing. The outlets and trash bins has been properly covered.
At 9:10AM., Based on observation, LPA confirmed one of two available children's toilet not in operating condition. Per director toilet will be in fixed within the week. Advisory Note : Technical Violation (LIC9102TV) was issued.
Facility had ventilation; adequate lighting; and was a comfortable temperature. Facility had a functioning telephone service and fire extinguishers (2A10BC) and testable carbon monoxide detector. (REFER TO 809C, FOR CONT.)
