25 | On October 10, 2023 at approximately 8:50am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Catrina Quimbo, conducted an unannounced, annual inspection. LPA met with licensee, Angela Parker, and licensee's daughter, Cathleen Parker, and explained the purpose of the inspection. Present in the home is licensee, licensee's daughter, licensee's assistant (A1) and 8 children (2 infants and 6 preschool age). Licensee is operating within capacity limits and ratio during LPA's visit.
Licensee lives in the single level home with their spouse and A1. All adults living and/or working in the home have fingerprint clearance on file. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:30pm.
The DAY CARE AREAS are the living room (main playroom), family room (playroom #2), hallway bathroom, bedroom #1 (napping room), kitchen, laundry room (pass by to backyard), backyard and front yard. The OFF LIMIT AREAS are bedroom #2, bedroom #3, and garage. Off limit areas are appropriately barricaded. There are stairs in the backyard that were observed to have a child safety gate.
LPA toured day care areas of home with licensee and licensee's daughter. LPA observed home to be in good repair with proper temperature and ventilation. Home is equipped with a variety of toys and materials that were observed to be in good condition. LPA observed sharp edges to have appropriate padding for additional safety. There is a fireplace in the living room that is appropriately barricaded and made inaccessible. LPA did not observe electrical outlets to be accessible. Cleaning supplies, poisons and hazardous materials are made inaccessible behind child safety locked cabinets and/or stored in home's high shelves. Home is equipped with a fully charged fire extinguisher, smoke alarm and carbon monoxide detector. LPA tested carbon monoxide detector in hallway and observed detector to be in working condition.
