On 02/05/2025 at about 3:10pm, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Katie Krenn and Hanson Leong conducted an unannounced annual visit at the facility. LPAs met with Licensee, Angela Parker and explained the purpose of the visit. Present during the visit was Licensee, two helpers, two school age children, six preschool children and four infants. All adults in the home had obtained criminal record clearances from the California Department of Social Services.

Licensee lives in the single level home with their spouse andHours of operation are Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm.

DAY CARE AREAS are the living room (main playroom), family room (playroom #2), hallway bathroom, bedroom #1 (napping room), kitchen, laundry room (pass by to backyard), backyard and front yard.

OFF LIMIT AREAS are bedroom #2, bedroom #3, and garage. Off limit areas are appropriately barricaded. There are stairs in the backyard that were observed to have a child safety gate.

The licensee has a large license and is operating within the capacity limits and ratios for this visit.

LPAs observed that all required documents, such as the facility license, the Notification of Parental Rights, and the Earthquake Preparedness Checklist, were displayed and visible to the public.

The most recent emergency disaster drill was conducted on 7/16/2024, and the LPAs observed that it was documented. LPAs reviewed the emergency disaster drill log and found they were conducted at least once every six months.

LPAs inspected the indoor and outdoor daycare areas to identify health and safety hazards. The home had a fully charged fire extinguisher, a first aid kit, and carbon monoxide and smoke detectors. LPAs tested the combo carbon monoxide/smoke detector and found it functioning.

LPAs observed that the home's interior was clean and orderly, with proper heating and ventilation. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, poisons, and other hazardous items were stored in areas inaccessible to children. The bathroom was clean, fully operational, and equipped with suitable toileting equipment and sanitation products.

LPAs observed that the daycare areas had age-appropriate toys, furniture, and educational materials. The fireplace was covered with a screen. A designated area was provided for permanent or portable storage of the children's clothing and personal belongings. Electrical outlets blocked by furniture to prevent children's access. A child safety gate was observed at the stairs. According to the licensee, there are no firearms or weapons on the property.

The backyard is surrounded by a fence and features a variety of outdoor play equipment, all of which are in excellent condition. The areas around and under high climbing equipment, swings, slides, and similar equipment were observed to be cushioned with bark. LPAs did not observe any pools, spas, or bodies of water on the property.

The licensee stated she currently does not provide lunch for the children. The licensee stated families provide lunches for their children. The licensee stated that there are no documented allergies among any of the enrolled children.

The facility offers cribs and bed for children to rest or nap. LPAs observed that sheets and blankets were available for the children. Currently no children under the age of 12 months are enrolled.

LPAs reviewed the files of five children and confirmed that one child is missing a vaccination record, all other necessary forms were present and completed for each child. LPAs also reviewed the 15-minute sleep records for the children under two. LPAs reminded the licensee to maintain form LIC 9227 for children under one in their files.



This visit will be continued at a later date. No deficiencies were issued today during LPA's visit.

A Notice of Site Visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.

Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Licensee, Angela Parker.
