25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Mok conducted a case management inspection for capacity increase. LPA met with the Site Director, Dan Risk. There were 47 children with 9 staff present during the inspection. The facility applied for a capacity increase from 7/28/22. The facility wanted to add room #18 to the program to increase the total capacity from 93 to 120. CCL received a fire clearance approval that was granted by San Mateo County Fire Department on 2/21/23 and Superintendent's certification on 7/20/22. LPA inspected room #18 for health and safety hazards; Room #18 located in a building close to the parking lot; it was clean and in order; temperature and lighting were adequate; age-appropriate books, learning materials, and children's furniture were in good condition available for the children; toxins and harmful objects were made inaccessible to the children; First Aid supplies were available in the room. The room had a Children's size sink with a water fountain available for the children. The lower sink cabinets and drawers were free of harmful objects. Per Site Director, the classroom had an adjacent bathroom, but the children from the program won't use it. The children will use the other bathroom on the same campus. LPA observed a fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher and carbon monoxide detector in the room. Room #18 was approved and added to the program after the inspection; The school-age program is run in rooms #9, #10, #11, and #18 starting today for 120 capacity.
