25 | On November 7, 2024 at approximately 1:20pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Melissa Zaragoza conducted an unannounced, annual inspection. LPA was greeted and granted access by licensee, Nada Breidniger. At the entrance licensee was explained the purpose of the inspection. Present during LPA's visit included licensee, 1 staff assistant, and 10 preschool age children.
Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:30pm. Licensee lives in the one-level home with their spouse. All adults living in the home and staff present, have fingerprint clearance on file.
The DAY CARE AREAS the daycare room, bathroom, and the deck in the backyard. The OFF LIMIT AREAS the rest of the home. Off limit areas are made inaccessible to children. Doors are kept closed and locked.
LPA toured day care areas of home with licensee. LPA observed home to be in good repair with proper temperature and ventilation. Home is equipped with a variety of toys and materials that were observed to be in good condition. LPA observed electrical outlets to be made inaccessible with child safety covers. Cleaning supplies, poisons and hazardous materials are stored in home's high shelves and/or in the homes off limit areas.
Home is equipped with a fully charged fire extinguishers and a smoke and carbon monoxide detector. LPA was unable to test Smoke alarm during visit. Per licensee, smoke alarm is hardwired and linked to the Hillsborough police station. LPA tested a carbon monoxide detector, that was observed to be in working condition. There are no pools, and bodies of water in the premises.
Napping area (daycare room) was observed to be equipped with cots for napping children. Per licensee, licensee provides sheets and blankets for children in care. Per licensee, they wash blankets when needed, or weekly. Per licensee, there are currently no infant children enrolled in the childcare that nap in the facility.
Bathroom was observed to be in proper working condition. There is appropriate sanitation and toileting equipment for children in care. Per licensee, children’s families provide diapers and wipes for enrolled children. LPA observed cleaning supplies to be stored in bathrooms high shelves, made inaccessible to children.
