On March 28th, 2024 at approximately 1pm, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Tapia-Mandujano and Gil arrived at the facility. LPAs conducted an unannounced case management inspection for an increase of capacity and room additions. LPAs met with Principal, Cristina Haley. Facility has requested to increase capacity from 24 to 120 children and to add Rooms 1-5. Present at the facility were 17 preschool age children with 3 staff. All adults working in the facility are fingerprint cleared by the San Mateo-Foster City School District.

Facility is located on Parkside Elementary school. Facility is currently licensed for 24 children in Room #8. LPAs measured rooms #1-5. Classrooms 1-5, and 8 measure for a total of 5,3719.919 allowing 120 preschool age children. Facility has 9 toilets, 8 sinks that include a restroom that is accepted by a waiver.

LPAs inspected Rooms #1-5 for health and safety hazards. LPAs observed that there is a working smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector, and fire extinguisher in each classroom. Facility will ensure that all the cleaning solutions, poisons, and other chemicals that are dangerous to the children are stored inaccessible to the children. Rooms has age appropriate furniture. LPAs observe furniture to be in good repair. Floor appears to be in good repair and free of any hazards.

Prior to approving and increase of capacity and additions, the pending items must be completed:
*Fire Clearance is required
*Floor Plan for Outdoor Area
*Lead Testing must be done and results must be posted
*Licensing Postings must be posted in a prominent place

No deficiencies were cited today. Exit interview and report was discussed with Principal, Cristina Haley.
