25 | On December 13th, 2024, at approximately 2:45 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Janet Gil conducted an unannounced, annual inspection. LPA met with licensee, Kumari Dong, and explained the purpose of the inspection. Present during LPA’s visit included both licensees, two assistants, and 4 enrolled children (3 infants and 1 preschooler). Additionally, licensee's grand child was also present. The licensee is a large license and is operating within capacity limits and ratio.
Licensee owns home, which is a 4 bedrooms, 2 bathroom, multi level house. Licensee Kumari Dong lives in home with spouse, and adult child with his spouse. Licensee's grandchild also lives in the home. All adults living and working in the home have fingerprint clearance. Facility operates Monday Through Friday 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Day Care Areas: Living Room, Kitchen, Dining Room, Bedroom #1, Bedroom #2, Bedroom #3, Bathroom #1 and Backyard.
Off Limit Areas: Bedroom #4, Garage, and entire upper level.
At approximately 3:10 PM, LPA toured day care areas of home with licensee. LPA observed the home to be in good repair with proper temperature and ventilation. Home is equipped with a variety of toys and materials that were observed to be in working condition. LPA observed a fully stocked accessible first aid kit located in the living room. LPA observed a properly barricaded fireplace in the living room. LPA did not observe any accessible cleaning supplies, poisons, and solutions in day care areas. LPA observed electrical outlets to be made inaccessible with furniture. Home is equipped with a fully charged fire extinguisher and multiple smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. Detector in living room area was observed to be working. Licensee does not have any children in care with allergies or IMS plans. Per licensee, parents provide any formula and she provides foods for the children in care when old enough.
At approximately 3:30 PM, LPA observed bathroom for children's use was in proper working condition. LPA observed bathroom to include appropriate toileting equipment and sanitation products. LPA did not observe any hazardous materials to be accessible to children in the bathroom. Per licensee, there are no children in care that use the bathroom.
