25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Andrea Medlin met with facility representative for this required annual licensing visit. Purpose of visit explained. There were 101 preschool children present during visit. Days and hours of operation: Monday-Friday 6:30AM-6:30PM. There are four "houses" in the facility. In the "Blue House," there are a total of 24 preschool children; in the "Yellow House," there are a total of 27 preschool children; in the "Red House," there are 25 preschool children; in the "Green House," there are a total of 25 preschool children. Facility meets teacher/child ratio today. There are fully charged fire extinguishers that meet minimum requirements, smoke detectors, and carbon monoxide (CO) detectors in the facility. Children's bathrooms and sinks are present. All toilets and sinks are in safe and sanitary operating conditions. Facility is adequately furnished with age appropriate toys, furniture, and equipment. Bedding cots are available for napping and are stored appropriately; facility provides napping sheets and parents provide blankets. Outdoor play areas are adjacent to classrooms and are all securely fenced. Playground equipment is in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. Outdoor activity space surfaces are maintained in a safe condition and free of hazards. No pools, spas, hot tubs, fish ponds or similar bodies of water are present. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, poisons, and toxins are inaccessible to children. Per Director, there are no firearms or weapons on site. Variety of age appropriate toys and materials for children are available in the classrooms. Classrooms are set up for child care and furniture and equipment are in good condition. Sick children will be separated from the group and wait for parent to pick up in the staff office. Drinking water is available for children. Facility provides snacks and meals. First Aid supplies are available in every classroom. Facility has posted all the required licensing forms in the front lobby area. Staff have verification of current Pediatric First Aid and CPR training; staff have verification of the required immunizations: measels (MMR) and pertussis (TDap).
