25 | On July 23, 2024, at approximately 9:30 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Janet Gil conducted an unannounced, annual inspection. LPA met with licensee, Soledad Rodriguez, and explained the purpose of the inspection. Present during LPA’s visit included licensee, assistant, and 3 children (2 infants and 1 school age child(licensee's granddaughter). The licensee is a large license and is operating within capacity limits and ratio.
Licensee owns home, which is a 3 bedrooms, 2 bathroom, single level house. Licensee lives in home with three adult children. All adults living and working in the home have fingerprint clearance. Facility operates Monday Through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Day Care Areas: Living room, Bedroom #1. and Bedroom #3, napping room.
Off Limit Areas: Bedroom #2, Bathroom, Kitchen, dining room. Backyard is off limits
At approximately 10:30 AM, LPA toured day care areas of home with licensee. LPA observed the home to be in good repair with proper temperature and ventilation. Home is equipped with a variety of toys and materials that were observed to be in working condition. LPA observed a fully stocked accessible first aid kit located in the bathroom area in bedroom 1. LPA did not observe any accessible cleaning supplies, poisons, and solutions in day care areas. LPA observed electrical outlets to be made inaccessible with furniture. Home is equipped with a fully charged fire extinguisher in kitchen area and carbon monoxide detector in main hallway. LPA did not test carbon monoxide detector in hallway area due to children in care sleeping. Licensee does not have any children in care with allergies or IMS plans. Per licensee, she does not provide food for the children in care. All food and formula bottles are provided by families.
At approximately 11:00 AM, LPA observed bathroom for children's use was in proper working condition. LPA observed bathroom to include appropriate toileting equipment and sanitation products. LPA did not observe any hazardous materials to be accessible to children in the bathroom. Per licensee, she does not have children in care that use the bathroom.
