25 | On January 25, 2024 @ approx. 8:30AM, Program Analyst (LPA) Maria Olguin-Leon met with Licensee, Evelyn Jimenez for an unannounced annual inspection. The purpose of the inspection was explained. Present today was Licensee, helper, spouse and 4 children (3 infant and 1 preschool age). All adults present at facility have fingerprint clearance. Licensee is operating within capacity and ratio requirements on this day. Hours of operation are Monday– Friday 8:00 am - 5:00pm.
LPA and Licensee toured the home for health and safety hazards. Day Care Areas: Entire home which consist of backyard, living room, dining room, kitchen, hallway, two bathrooms, and bedroom #3. Bedrooms #1 & #2 are used for napping purposes only. Office is walk through only. LPA inspected garage for health and safety hazards. Kitchen and bathroom cabinets are equipped with child proof locks. Home is well light and has proper ventilation. All electrical outlets are secured with child proof covers. There are plenty of age-appropriate toys, books, child size furnishings, learning material and playpens. Backyard has plenty of age-appropriate play toys, playhouse, and ride on toys and small climb on toys. Backyard has a 5 ft fence and gate separating play area from off limits side yard and garage. Outdoor backyard is completely covered with artificial grass to cushion falls and equipped with sunshades. There are no spas, pools, or other bodies of waters.
Home is equipped with a working carbon monoxide/smoke detector and a fully charged fire extinguisher. Cleaning supplies and other potentially harmful items are stored inaccessible to children and behind child proof cabinets. Isolation area for ill children will be in one of the bedrooms and away from other children. LPA reviewed first aid kit and kit is fully stocked. Licensee uses a landline and a cell phone on the premises. Per licensee, there are no weapons or firearms in the home. Parents provide sheets for playpens and are taken home on a weekly basis for laundering.
