25 | On 4/27/2026 at 8:50AM., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Luis Gomez met with Assistant Director, Courtney Gromowski. The purpose of today's visit was explained and was for an unannounced- annual random inspection. Present was Assistant Director and 6 staff supervising 20 children. The children present had been signed in by guardians. The director, Rowena De Los Angeles arrived at the facility during visit. This facility is combination center with a preschool program on-site. The day and hours of operation are Monday- Friday, 8:00AM- 6:00PM. The infant program utilizes two classrooms: Cocoons, 0-24 months; Caterpillars, 12-24 months; and the shared outdoor play area. LPA inspected facility, indoors and outdoors, for health and safety hazards.
At 9:15AM., LPA observed the following: infant classrooms were neat and orderly with age-appropriate/ washable equipment available for the children. The doorways, floors, ground surfaces were clear of any obstructions. The furniture and playthings inspected was in good repair, and free of any sharp corners or splinters. The classrooms were equipped with several activity areas including general use area; storage area; and activity space. LPA observed lockable cabinets, baskets, and shelving available for storage of supplies.
For feeding services, LPA observed several tables/ chairs, scaled to the appropriate size. The tables inside the cocoon classroom had wide-base legs, and attachable table component.
LPA observed labeled cubbies for each child in care. The classroom has diaper changing tables, available for staff as needed. The changing table were within arm’s reach of a sink and trash bins for disposal of solid waste had been covered. Per director, solid waste is removed from classrooms throughout the day. The cleaning detergents, toxins, and other hazardous items had been made inaccessible and stored on high-shelf.
For nap/ scheduled rest, LPA observed cribs and several cots, inside classrooms. The infant cribs were located in separate areas from activity space. The crib had clean bed sheets, properly sized mattresses, and were empty. Per director, napping sheets are changed and washed on site daily. The cribs have visibility on all sides for constant staff supervision. The classrooms had adequate ventilation, lighting, and were a comfortable temperature. The facility had a functioning telephone service; carbon monoxide detector; and fire extinguisher (2A10BC). (REFER TO 809C, FOR CONT.)
