LPA observed that the daycare areas has appropriate furniture, toys, books, and learning materials. There were a variety of age-appropriate toys and play structures available in the backyard. LPA observed the children's bathroom is clean, sanitary and in working condition. Per the licensee children usually do not nap and they have mat, sheet, and blanket in case if they need napping.
LPA observed all posting requirements are met and posted in the Child Care Home. The licensee and her helper have a valid CPR+First Aid expiring on 5/2026, and Mandated reporter training certificate, which expires on 5/2025.
LPA reviewed 6 children's records and all required forms were completed in the file including immunization records and emergency cards.
The licensee verified that the facility conducts emergency drills with the children at least every 6 months. The latest drill was on November 27, 2024. The licensee stated they have an isolation area at the corner of the classroom. Per the licensee there is no child who has allergy at this year.
The licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
Per the licensee, there are no children enrolled with allergies. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS Information Department.
