25 | On December 19th, 2024, at approximately 1:05pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Tapia-Mandujano conducted an unannounced random/annual inspection and met with licensee, Sahar Mohajer. LPA explained the purpose of the inspection to licensee. Present in the facility are licensee and assistant supervising 8 children (3 infants and 5 preschool age children). During time of the inspection, licensee is operating within capacity limits. All adults living and working in the facility are fingerprint cleared and associated.
Licensee owns home, which is a two bedroom home. Licensee lives with husband and two minor children. The hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 7:30am-5pm. Daycare areas are: Living Room, Dining area, Bathroom #1, Bedroom #1, and portion of the Backyard. Off Limit areas are: Master Bedroom #2, Kitchen, Garage, Portion of Backyard, and front yard. All off limit areas, including the closets are properly barricaded.
LPA observed the Day-care is clean, orderly with a variety of age-appropriate toys for the children. All furniture inspected is in good repair. The applicant has a fully stocked First Aid kit and was reminded to be aware of the expiration on the First Aid Kit. The home has no pools or bodies of water in the home. Licensee was reminded about water safety. The home has a fireplace that is properly barricaded. Facility has a pet dog with proper documentation. The home has age-appropriate equipment available for children in care. Licensee was reminded that baby walkers, bouncers, jumpers and any other similar items are to not be used for children in care. Licensee sleeps infant children in the bedroom in pack and plays.
There was a fully charged fire extinguisher, A dual smoke alarm and carbon monoxide alarm, and a working telephone. Phone number listed for Licensee is current. Per Licensee, there are no weapons or firearms in the home. LPA reviewed eight children’s records which were complete. Licensee's Mandated reporter training Expires 7/2026 and Licensees Pediatric CPR/First Aid certification Expires 4/2026. Last Emergency drill was conducted 06/2024. Emergency drills must be conducted at least once every six months and must be properly logged.
