25 | On August 12, 2026, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Van arrived at the family child care home to conduct an unannounced Plan of Correction (POC) inspection. LPA met with the licensee, Sara Ines Catalan, and explained the purpose of the visit. The licensee granted LPA access to the home. Upon entry, the licensee and assistants supervised 10 children in care (3 infants and 7 preschoolers)
During the annual inspection conducted on June 9, 2026, LPA observed deficiencies related to personnel records. Both the licensee and her assistant did not have complete immunization records available for review, and tuberculosis clearances were missing from the personnel files.
Technical violations were also issued on June 9, 2026. The home was missing a carbon monoxide detector; cleaning products or disinfectants were accessible to children; and a signed and dated copy of the Notice of Employee Rights (LIC 9052) was not present in the assistant’s personnel file.
During today’s visit, LPA verified through record review and observation that the licensee corrected all previously cited deficiencies and technical violations. LPA confirmed that complete immunization records and tuberculosis clearances were obtained and maintained in personnel files. LPA also verified that a functioning carbon monoxide detector was installed, cleaning products were properly stored and inaccessible, and the assistant’s file now contained signed and dated LIC 9052.
Based on today’s inspection, all deficiencies and technical violations cited on June 9, 2026, have been corrected, and the family child care home is now in compliance.
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
An exit interview was conducted, and the report was reviewed with the licensee, Sara Ines Catalan.
