25 | On October 30th, 2024, at approximately 11:35 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Janet Gil conducted an unannounced, annual inspection. LPA met with licensee, Michael Rodrigues, and explained the purpose of the inspection. Present during LPA’s visit included licensee, spouse, two assistants and 10 enrolled children (4 infants and 6 preschoolers). The licensee is a large license and is operating within capacity limits and ratio.
Licensee owns home, which is a 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, single level house. Licensee lives in home with spouse, and three minor children. All adults living and working in the home have fingerprint clearance. Facility operates Monday Through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with after hours available.
Day Care Areas: Living Room, Dining Room, Kitchen, Bedroom #2 (used as a napping/play room), Bathroom #1, Bathroom #2, and Backyard.
Off Limit Areas: Bedroom #1, Bedroom #3 and Front Yard.
At approximately 12:00 PM, LPA toured day care areas of home with licensee. LPA observed the home to be in repair with proper temperature and ventilation. Home is equipped with a variety of toys and materials that were observed to be in working condition. LPA observed a fully stocked accessible first aid kit located in the nap/play room. LPA did not observe any accessible cleaning supplies, poisons, and solutions in day care areas. LPA observed electrical outlets to be made inaccessible with outlet covers. Home is equipped with a fully charged fire extinguisher and multiple smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. LPA tested smoke and carbon monoxide detector in kitchen area, which was observed to be working. Licensee has one child in care with a peanut allergy. Per licensee, child does not have any prescribed medication provided by parent left at day care. Per licensee, all parents or authorized representatives provide lunches for the children in care. Facility provides morning and afternoon snack. Licensee documents all infant sleep checks through Bright Wheel App.
At approximately 12:30 PM, LPA observed bathroom for children's use was in proper working condition. LPA observed bathroom to include appropriate toileting equipment and sanitation products. LPA did not observe any hazardous materials to be accessible to children in the bathroom.
