25 | On December 16th, 2025, at approximately 10am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Tapia-Mandujano conducted an unannounced random annual inspection and met with licensee, Angelica Sorto. LPA explained the purpose of the inspection to licensee. Present in the facility are licensee and assistant supervising 11 children (4 infants and 7 preschoolers). During today's inspection, all adults living and/or working in the facility are fingerprint cleared and associated. LPA verified Guardian list with licensee. During today’s inspection, licensee is operating within appropriate license capacity.
Licensee owns home, which is a three-bedroom, three bathroom, single level house. Licensee lives in the home with spouse. Hours of Operation are Monday-Friday from 7am-6pm. Daycare areas are: Converted Garage with bathroom, Dining area, back porch area, and Backyard. OFF limit areas: Kitchen, Living room, Bedroom #1, Bedroom #2, Master Bedroom #3, Bathroom #1, Bathroom #2 (inside Master Bedroom), all closets, including the laundry room inside the converted garage, and Storage in the backyard. All off limit areas are properly barricaded.
LPA inspected home, inside and outside, with the licensee for health and safety hazards. LPA observed the Day-care is clean, orderly with a variety of age-appropriate toys for the children. All furniture inspected is in good repair. The licensee has a fully stocked First Aid kit and was reminded to be aware of the expiration of the First Aid Kit. The home has no pools or bodies of water. Per licensee, there are no pets in the home. The home does have a fireplace that is properly barricaded in the living room in an off limit are. LPA reminded licensee about water safety.
The home has age-appropriate equipment available for children in care. Licensee was reminded that baby walkers, bouncers, jumpers, and any other similar items are not to be used for children in care. Per licensee, all children sleep in the Converted garage/daycare area. Per licensee, she currently does not have any children that sleep in pack and play and/or cribs. Licensee stated that she also does daily sanitation of the daycare area. LPA and licensee discussed the discipline policy. Per licensee, she communicates and will have the child shadow them to keep closer supervision.
