25 | On May 22nd, 2025, at approximately 9:10am, Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Tapia-Mandujano conducted an unannounced random/annual inspection and met with licensee, Silvia Pelaez. LPA explained the purpose of the inspection to licensee. Present in the facility is licensee supervising 3 children (1 infant 2 preschoolers). During today's inspection, all adults living and/or working in the facility are fingerprint cleared and associated. LPA verified Guardian list with licensee.
Licensee owns home, which is a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, single level (front) Duplex. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 8AM-5PM. Daycare area is: Living Room, Bedrooms #1, #2, and #3, Dining area, Family Room/Playroom, Bathroom#1 & 2, Side yard OFF limit areas: Front yard, Kitchen, Garage, Deck and Backyard (pass by only). Licensee was using the Deck but it is now blocked off and will not be used. All off limit areas are properly barricaded.
LPA observed the Day-care is clean, orderly with a variety of age-appropriate toys for the children. All furniture inspected is in good repair. The licensee has a fully stocked First Aid kit and was reminded to be aware of the expiration on the First Aid Kit. Home does not have any pools or bodies of water. Per licensee, there are no pets in the home. LPA reminded licensee about water safety. The home does have a fireplace that is properly barricaded. The home has age-appropriate equipment available for children in care. Licensee was reminded that baby walkers, bouncers, jumpers, and any other similar items are to not be used for children in care. Per licensee, infant children sleep in pack and plays in the bedrooms.
