25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Haydee Caliboso arrived at the facility to conduct an unannounced Annual Inspection. LPA met with Licensee Thricia Lynn Whited and one Teacher Assistant. Purpose of the inspection was explained. Present were Licensee and 3 children in care. Per Licensee, the daughter owns the home. The Licensee lives with the daughter, son-in- law and a minor grandchild. LPA verified the background check clearance of the adults working or living in the home. The hours of operation are: M-F, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Licensee provides breakfast, snack, and lunch each day.
Daycare areas: converted garage (daycare area), bathroom #1 and front yard. Off Limit areas: Driveway, living room, dining area, kitchen, dedroom #1 (pass through only to bathroom #1), bedroom #2, bedroom #3 with bathroom #2, backyard, and side yard. The side yard is still being renovated and will be kept off limits until area(s) is approved as a daycare area. LPA and Licensee inspected the entire day care area for Health and Safety hazards. LPA observed that off limit areas were properly barricaded and made inaccessible to the children in care. LPA observed carbon monoxide and smoke detector in the home. LPA performed the tests to check the functionality of the detector. A fire extinguisher of size 2A10BC or bigger was also available in the home. First Aid kit is fully stocked and accessible. Per Licensee, there is firearm or weapon in the home. Licensee states, firearm in the home is stored away and stored where care is not being provided. Licensee states, firearm is locked, stored made inaccessible to children. Licensee stated there are no bodies of water. LPA observed a chicken coop located in the front yard. Cont. 809 pg.2 |
