25 | On March 12th, 2024, at approximately 8:45am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Tapia-Mandujano arrived at the facility to conduct an annual inspection. LPA was granted entrance by Licensee. LPA explained the purpose of the inspection, which was to conduct an Annual Inspection and to Increase capacity from a Small Family Child Care License to a Large Family Child Care Licensee. Fire Clearance was received by Redwood City Fire Department on 02/21/24.
LPA met with licensee, Thricia Whited. Present in the facility were licensee and licensee's assistant supervising 6 children (1 infant and 5 preschool age). Facility is operating within capacity limits on this day. All adult living and working in the home are fingerprint cleared and associated.
Licensee lives in a three bedroom, 3 bathroom, single story home with front and backyard. Licensee lives with two other adults and two minor children. The hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 8-5pm.
Licensee has requested to add some rooms with increasing to a Large license. Licensee has requested to add the Living Room/Dining Room, Kitchen, Bathroom #1, and Bedroom #3. LPA inspected these areas for health and safety hazards. LPA observed that the living room has a fireplace that is properly barricaded. Areas are free of hazard, clean, and in good repair with proper lighting and ventilation. LPA observed that the Fire Alarm is on the Kitchen wall with Licensing required postings. LPA reviewed Capacity limits with licensee. LPA has approved the areas for use, as well as approve for a Large Family Child Care Home as of today, March 12th, 2024.
New Daycare areas: Living Room/Dining Room, Kitchen, Bathroom #1, Bedroom #3, Converted garage (daycare Classroom), bathroom inside daycare classroom, and front yard. Off Limit areas: Driveway, Bedroom #1 with Bathroom #3, Bedroom #2, backyard, and side yards.
