25 | On March 19, 2025, at approximately 9:15am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Tapia-Mandujano conducted an unannounced random annual inspection and met with licensee, Thricia Whited. LPA explained the purpose of the inspection to licensee. Present in the facility are licensee and assistant supervising 4 children (2 infants and 2 preschoolers). During today's inspection, all adults living and/or working in the facility are fingerprint cleared and associated. LPA verified Guardian list with licensee. During today’s inspection, licensee is operating within appropriate license capacity.
Licensee rents a three bedroom, 3 bathroom, single story home with front and backyard. Licensee lives with one minor children. The hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 8-5pm. Daycare areas: Living Room/Dining Room, Kitchen, Bathroom #1, Bedroom #3, Converted garage (daycare Classroom), bathroom inside daycare classroom, and front yard. Off Limit areas: Driveway, Bedroom #1 with Bathroom #3, Bedroom #2, backyard, and side yards.
LPA inspected home, inside and outside for health and safety hazards. LPA observed the Day-care is clean, orderly with a variety of age-appropriate toys for the children. All furniture inspected is in good repair. The licensee has a fully stocked First Aid kit and was reminded to be aware of the expiration of the First Aid Kit. The home has no pools or bodies of water. LPA reminded licensee about water safety. Per licensee, there are pets in the home that are separate from where the daycare areas are. The home has a fireplace in the living room that is properly barricaded.
The home has age-appropriate equipment available for children in care. Licensee was reminded that baby walkers, bouncers, jumpers, and any other similar items are not to be used for children in care.
