LPA observed the outdoor play area with the director and found there is a variety of play structures and sports equipment available for the children. All play structures were in good repair. LPA observed a ripped cushion which creates tripping hazards for children. During the inspection, LPA discussed it with the director and Leny stated she will order a new one today and until it arrived, she will block the area for the children's safety.
LPA observed the facility has a fully stocked first aid kit and a functioning telephone. Per the director, there are two children who have an allergy in the center at this time. Leny stated parents implement the medication when necessary and they reach out to 911 and parents in case of emergency.
The facility uses the area next to the office for isolated ill children to wait for their guardians.
According to Leny, the facility provides breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks in addition to drinking water.
Per the director, the facility is using an electronic sign-in/out app called One Core and LPA observed all authorized representatives have signed for today.
All posting requirements are met by the facility and the License, Parent's Rights, and California Child Passenger Safety Law observed by the LPA.
The LPA reviewed the facility records, six children's files, and four staff files. LPA found all required documents in the children's file including immunization records, LIC 700, and Personal-Parents Rights. LPA observed director's CPR certificate had expired on 2/17/2025 and Leny stated she already booked a class to renew the certificate on 4/18/2025. LPA observed all other necessary documents available in the staff file including Mandated Reporter training certificates.
The director is aware that all staff is required to complete Mandated Reporter Training every two years. The training can be obtained online at www.mandatedreporterca.com.
