Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Glenn Schnell met with applicants/licensees Yan Yu Zhao and Xu Ming Chen to conduct a case management inspection in response to a request to add a toddler option component to an infant application that the licensee submitted for this location. The toddler option room will be located in a portion of the space that is currently licensed under the preschool. LPA Schnell has re-measured the square footage of the preschool and has deducted the space that will be used for the toddler option since the toddler option program will be attached to the infant center. An updated facility sketch (LIC 999) was received today.
The updated measurements include the Preschool Room (right side of main room), Science and Library Rooms for a total of 1267.904 square feet divided by 35 equals 36 children. There are 3 sinks (capacity 45) and two toilets (capacity 30).

The outdoor square footage has been reduced since the licensee/applicants has constructed a separate infant/toddler option play yard. The updated outdoor square footage measurements are 2589.061 square feet divided by 75 equals 34 children.

This reduced square footage does affect the current licensed capacity of 30.
LPA Schnell will request an updated fire safety inspection since the square footage for the preschool program has changed.

A Notice of Site Visit was given to the applicants/licensees. Notice is to be posted for thirty days.
