25 | On August 03, 2022, at approximately 9:35am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Winnie Ly conducted an Unannounced Required - 1 Year Visit to this family child care home and met with Licensee Haudy Leib. Purpose of visit was explained. Present during the visit were Licensee and her daughter caring for 4 preschoolers and 2 infants.
Day Care Areas are bedroom#1 (located on first floor), bathroom #1, living room, den, kitchen, dining area, backyard and side alleys. The OFF LIMITS AREAS are bathroom #2 (located on first floor), garage, bedroom #2, bedroom#3, bedroom#4 and bathroom#3. Licensee has installed child proof, locked gates preventing children’s access to stairs.
Licensee’s CPR expires 09/2023. Completed Child Abuse Mandated Reporter Training on file. Required Immunization Influenzas, Pertussis and Measles are on file.
LPA observed the home is clean orderly and properly ventilated. LPA also observed a 2A10BC Fire extinguisher, operable smoke detectors and carbon monoxide. There is a lake in the backyard and adequate netting to prevent children from falling through gaps. Electrical outlets have child protective covers in place making them inaccessible to children. Chemical, detergents, cleaning compounds, medications, and other items of this nature are made inaccessible to children. Kitchen/Bathroom cabinets/drawers have child protective locks in place making all sharp objects or toxic house hold items inaccessible to children. First aid supplies are available for children. Facility conducts fire drills/earthquake drills on 03/09/2022 and was properly logged. Home has age appropriate toys and equipment available for the children in care.
At approximately 9:50am, LPA reviewed children's. LPA found infants' files missing LIC 9227 Infant Individual Sleeping PLan. A Technical Advise have been issue to advise licensee to follow up and have LIC 9227 fill out.
Infants' files also missing napping log. A Technical Advise have been issue to advise licensee to keep napping log for all infants under 24 months of age. Log are to be logged every 15 minutes when infants are napping. Log also should log the condition the infants are while napping. A Technical Advise have been issue to advise licensee to start logging infants' nap.
