25 | On 12/2/2025 at 1:55PM., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Luis Gomez met with Licensee, Daisy Lopez Guzman. The purpose of today’s visit was explained and was for an unannounced, annual/ random inspection. Present was the licensee and assistant, caring for 8 children. (3 infant-age, 5 preschool-age). Adults have criminal record clearance on file. The home is a three-bedroom, two-bathroom, one level house. Per licensee, days and hours of operations are: Monday- Friday, 8:00 AM., to 5:30 PM. The areas of the home designated for childcare are: Living Room (Playroom), Bedroom #2 (Napping only), Dining Room, Bathroom #1 and the Outdoor Play Area (Patio). The areas of the home designated as off-limits are: Bedroom #1, Bedroom #3, Bathroom #2, Garage Area, #1 (Pass through only), Garage Area #2 (Pass through only), Garage Area #3/ Studio unit, Kitchen (Pass through only) and Laundry Area. LPA inspected home inside and outside for health and safety hazards.
At 2:10PM., the following was observed: Facility clean and neat, with age-appropriate playthings available for the children. The floor and ground surfaces were clear of obstructions or hazards. The furniture, materials, and toys were in good repair, and free of sharp corners. LPA observed infant feeding chairs, with detachable table. LPA observed tables and chairs, scaled to the appropriate size.
For napping services/ scheduled rest, LPA observed several infant play pens and cribs stored in facility. Per licensee, sheet and bedding are washed weekly.
At 2:20PM., Based on observation, LPA confirmed shelving unit in living room had not been anchored. Per licensee, she will anchor shelving unit this week. Advisory Note: Technical Violation was issued.
LPA advised licensee to repair or replace crib with observed chipped paint. Advisory Note: Technical Violation (LIC9102TV) was issued.
The facility bathroom (1) was observed clean, with faucet and toilet in operating condition. The facility was comfortable with ventilation and sufficient lighting. The facility was equipped with a telephone service; functioning carbon monoxide/ smoke combination detectors; and fire extinguisher (2A:10BC) located in facility. (REFER TO 809C, FOR CONT.) |
