25 | On October 25th, 2022 at approximately at 3:05pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Tapia-Mandujano conducted an unannounced licensee initiated case management inspection in response to an Increase of capacity application. Facility is wanting to go from 21 preschool age children to 30 preschool age children.
LPA met with Director, Noor Albarakat. LPA inspected the facility for health and safety hazards to ensure the facility was in compliance with Title 22 Regulations for Child Care Centers.
Facility is requesting to add Room#2 as part of the Preschool license. LPA measured Room #2 to be 501.92 Sq. Ft. allowing for 14 children in Room #2. Room #1 and Room #2 has enough space for the desired capacity of 30 preschool children. Operational Hours are Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm, Fire Clearance was approved on September 21st, 2022.
Room was observed to be clean with age appropriate toys and equipment. There are cubbies for children's belongings. All furnishing and equipment was safe and in good repair. Licensee had child size tables and chairs for snack and activities. All accessible garbage cans with tight fitting lids and outlets had been covered. All accessible sinks deliver only cold water. Diaper changing will be done by the restroom. There is a bathroom in Room #1 and another in Room #2. Classroom was equipped with a first aid kit. Facility is equipped with fire extinguisher, smoke detector, carbon monoxide (CO) detector.
LPA will approve the increase of capacity from 21 to 30 as of today, October 25th, 2022.
No deficiencies were cited today under CCR, Title 22, Div. 12, Chapt. 1.
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
