32 | Drinking water is available for children indoors and outdoors. Kitchen will be inaccessible to children and is observed to be clean, safe, and in good repair. All toxins and other hazardous items will be inaccessible to children. Isolation of ill children will be in the office area at the front entrance of the facility and the staff bathroom will be used for an ill child.
Facility will provide morning and afternoon snacks. Children will be bring their own lunch. The menu is posted at the entrance of the facility. Medications will be stored in a locked cabinet. Refrigerated medications will be stored in a locked box. Medication will be administered with parental consent and will be kept in the child’s file for record. All medication will be logged when administered to children. Required postings are observed to be posted at the front entrance of the school during today's inspection.
Outdoor: Total useable outdoor square footage measures at 1,160.09 sq ft. divided by 75 sq ft allowing a total of 16 children. The outdoor area is enclosed by a fence at least four feet tall and observed to be clean, safe, and equipped with age appropriate toys and equipment for children. Teachers will bring out a pitcher of water and disposable cups while outside. Shade for children will be provided by trees and neighboring buildings. Applicant has submitted a request for a waiver for scheduled rotational use of outdoor play area.
LPA will approve a provisional license for the capacity of 15 children effective today, November 28, 2022. Fire clearance inspection was conducted on October 14, 2022. Full licensure will be granted once LPA has received and reviewed requested revisions to documents already provided.
Applicant was reminded about Mandated Reporter training available on CCLD website. Training must be completed every 2 years by all staff hired. Training can be taken online at www.mandatedreporterca.com.
Applicant was reminded that all adults 18 and over responsible for administration or direct supervision of staff, persons who provides care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. |
