Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Maria Olguin-Leon conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection for an addition of off limits room. LPA met with Licensee, Tania Castro. Licensee currently operates in outdoor enclosed daycare room. License is requested to move daycare room to inside home and will operate in living room. Licensee originally submitted an increase of capacity application, Licensee requested to withdraw increase of capcacity application and submitted new updated application for addition/change of daycare room. Present during today's visit, Licensee and 6 children(1 infant and 5 preschool age).

LPA and Licensee inspected home for Health and Safety Hazards. Licensee will not longer use previously used outdoor daycare room. Licensee is adding living room to and will used living room for daycare. On limits areas: Living room (daycare room) and bathroom. Off limits areas: Three bedrooms, dining room, kitchen, outdoor room, garage and front/back yard. Kitchen and dining room are barricaded with child proof mesh and off limits rooms are will remain locked and closed. Kitchen and bathroom cabinets are properly locked with childproof locks. Outlet are properly covered with childproof covers. Fireplace is properly barricaded with a cubbie toy storage. Living room flooring has foam mats and a rug to cushion falls.

All required postings are properly posted, CPR expires 09/2024. Mandated reporter expires 03/2025. Last emergency drill was conducted 10/16/2023.


Change of Daycare Room has been approved effective 11/08/23.
