25 | On April 10th, 2024 at approximately 8:30am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Tapia-Mandujano conducted an unannounced, plan of correction (POC) and an Increase of Capacity inspection. Upon entering the home, licensee's assistant was present with 1 infant and 1 preschool age child. Approximately 10 minutes later, licensee arrived with her own children (1 infant and 1 preschool age). Present in the facility then were licensee and licensee's assistant with 2 infants and 2 preschool age children. Facility is operating within capacity ratios at this time. Per licensee, 2 school age children may arrive at a later time. All adults living and working at the facility are fingerprint cleared and associated.
On April 3rd, 2024, LPA met with licensee to conduct an annual inspection and an increase of capacity inspection. During the inspection, LPA determined facility had been operating over capacity with 8 children (4 infants and 4 preschool age). LPA issued a Type A citation for operating over licensed capacity limits. A POC was developed with licensee. As well as capacity limits were explained to licensee.
As of this date, LPA observed that the deficiency was cleared, and facility is operating within capacity limits with 2 infants and 2 preschool age children present.
During today's visit, LPA observed that the deficiency page and Notice of Site Visit from 04/03/24 were posted. LPA also observed that LIC 9224 were signed by parents.
Due to the space, Fire Department asked licensee to open up Bedroom #3 for more space. During today's inspection, LPA also observed Bedroom #3 to be set up with children's materials. LPA observed that the room is free of hazards. Licensee has equipped bedroom with pack and play for children to sleep. Per licensee, she will use it as a multipurpose room, either for sleep and/or set up with activities. LPA will approve Bedroom #3 as of today.
New Daycare areas are: Living Room, Dining Room, Bathroom #1, Bedroom #2 and #3, front yard, and backyard. OFF limit areas: Bedroom #1, Kitchen (pass through only), and Both Side yards. All off limit areas are properly barricaded, including closets.
