25 | On March 7th, 2025 at approximately 1:45 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Gil conducted an unannounced, annual inspection. LPA met with lead teacher, Jiantong Kuang. Director Irene Soriano was not present for afternoon infant inspection. LPA explained the purpose of the inspection.
Hours of operation are Monday to Friday 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Facility offers a Chinese Immersion program. Present during inspection included 6 infant children with 12 staff members (including lead teacher, and two infant license staff). LPA observed all staff has fingerprint clearance on file. Facility is operating within capacity requirements and ratios at time of LPA's inspection. Facility operates with two licenses: a preschool license and an infant license.
LPA inspected facility, indoors and outdoors, for health and safety hazards. Toddler component operates out of 2 classrooms(Iris and Lilly Classroom). Preschool Program operates out of separate auditorium separated into 3 classrooms, and 3 shared play spaces. Infant license operates out of own classroom(Rose classroom) with three sections. LPA observed classroom to be clean, equipped with age appropriate toys, materials, and furniture. LPA observed electrical outlets to be made inaccessible with outlet covers and furniture. LPA also observed covered trash cans. Storage for children's belongings are located inside each classroom labeled with each child's individual names. Per director, parents take home and wash sheets weekly. Sleeping area for infants was observed to include cribs. LPA observed cribs to be free of loose articles, materials, and objects. Cribs were observed to have mattresses with tight fitting sheets. LPA observed program to maintain sleeping logs for napping infants. Per infant teacher, there are no enrolled infants with allergies or medications. Facility also provide meals to children in care.
LPA observed facility has an installation of a fire alarm system throughout the entire building. LPA observed a carbon monoxide detector in each classroom. LPA tested Carbon Monoxide detector in cafeteria's classroom 2(mandarin room), which was observed to be working. Each classroom has a fully stocked and accessible first aid kit. Facility has multiple fire extinguishers located within classrooms. All poisons, cleaning solutions and hazardous materials are stored inaccessible to children under locked sink.
LPA observed diaper changing table to be within arms reach of a sink. LPA observed diapers were properly separated and labeled per infant. LPA observed children formula milk provided by parents or authorized representatives to be labeled and separately stored in facility fridge.
