LPA observed classroom to be equipped with age appropriate toys, materials and furniture. Children's materials were observed to be new, in good working condition. There is a crib in the classroom that was observed to be free of loose articles and items. There is sufficient storage for children's materials that will be maintained in facility's hallways.
Updated Indoors: The infant program will operate in infant classroom #4 only. The infant program was measured for 366.13 sq. ft. allowing for a capacity of 10 children.
Facility itself does not include an outdoor area. There is an open area in center that will be utilized as an "outdoor" activity space area only. During initial pre-licensing, applicant planned to utilize open area as an additional classroom and "outdoor" activity area with wall partitions. Due to wall partitions not yet being approved by the fire department, LPA will only approve of the open space as an "outdoor" area only.
Updated Outdoors: Entire open "outdoor" activity space measures for 4,724.49 sq. ft. allowing for a capacity of 62 children. Applicant plans to submit a waiver request to utilize open space as the "outdoor" activity space, that will be shared between preschool and infant programs. LPA did not observe any bodies of water on site.
During visit, LPA obtained updated proof of control of property with updated use of facility to include a child care center.
Based on classroom square footage, LPA will approve for a provisional license of 10 infant children, effective today's date.
LPA will approve for a regular license for the 10 infant children when following is complete:
-Updated fire clearance with updated capacity is obtained.
-Submission of all documents indicated on LIC184C.
-LPA's review and approval of resubmitted documents indicated on LIC184C.
Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with applicant, Sarah Jen. |
