25 | On November 22, 2024 at approximately 8:30am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Melissa Zaragoza conducted a scheduled, pre-licensing inspection. LPA met with applicants, Lucas Crispim and Robson Silva, and explained the purpose of the inspection. Present during LPA's visit included applicants only.
Applicants submitted an application for a family childcare home November 11, 2024. Applicants live in a two-level home with 2 minor children. Children living in the home are brother and sister of applicant, Lucas Crispim. Applicants plans to operate Monday through Friday 7:30am to 5:00pm. Applicants plans to care for children ages 0 months to 5 years old. Applicants are aware children living in the home under 10 years old, are counted towards overall capacity.
With applicants, LPA inspected the entire home, inside and outside, for health and safety hazards. The home is a two-level home that consists of 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, ½ bathroom, living room, dining room, kitchen, deck, backyard, and garage.
The DAY CARE AREAS located on the first level of the home are the playroom, bedroom #3, and backyard. The daycare areas located on the second level of the home are, bathroom #1. The OFF LIMIT AREAS are bedroom #1, bedroom #2, kitchen, dining room, living room, garage, deck, and ½ bathroom. Off limit areas are made inaccessible with child safety door handles and child safety gates installed.
LPA observed the day care area to be clean and safe. Home is equipped with a fully charged fire extinguisher that was observed to be secured to wall located near stairs. Home is equipped with multiple smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. During visit, LPA tested a smoke and carbon monoxide detector that was observed to be working.
Day care areas were observed to be equipped with a variety of toys, materials and furniture that were age appropriate. LPA observed electrical outlets to be made inaccessible with safety covers. Garbage cans were observed to have tight fitting lids.
