25 | On November 16th, 2022 at 1:45PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Rosie Breault conducted an unannounced Annual/Random inspection. LPA met with facility director Ana Schmid advised her the purpose of the inspection. LPA conducted a Covid-19 prescreening and no exposure on site. Director provided LPA a tour of the facility inside and out. The center operates from 7:45AM – 5:15PM Monday Friday. At the time of the inspection there were forty-nine (49) children in care and six (6) teachers.
LPA observed required licensing documents mounted on the wall at the entrance of the facility. Facility uses Procare electronic app for sign in and out purposes. LPA observed the facility has three (3) restrooms for use with ample sinks, toilets and urinals which are functioning and clean. The facility utilizes five (5) classrooms all contain age appropriate toys and furniture readily accessible for children in care, and offer ample ventilation. LPA observed first aid kits available for use in classrooms. Children use their own water bottles which are labeled with their names. Facility offers filter water both inside and outside. LPA observed all cleaning compounds, disinfectants, sharps, and tools to be inaccessible to children and / or locked in a cabinet. Children bring one (1) lunch and (2) snacks from home, no food is served at the facility. Cots are provided for napping that are separated, disinfected daily, and children’s bedding is individually contained.
The outdoor area has an ample amount of space / shade for children to play with and appropriate toys, and disinfectant solution is inaccessible to children. No bodies of water are present.
