32 | The investigation consisted of three unannounced inspections. During the initial inspection, LPA interviewed the Director, toured the facility, and reviewed staff records. LPA also obtained the CCC’s children’s roster, staff and parent handbooks, and reviewed the Guardian personnel roster. During the second inspection, LPA interviewed staff on site and continued observations of the center. During these inspections, LPA inspected areas accessible to day care children. LPA toured the classrooms while classes were in session and observed teachers supervising children during indoor and outdoor activities, including snack time. LPA toured the classrooms during nap time and observed awake teachers supervising napping children while aides were on their break. LPA observed animals are part of the curriculum, as stated in the parent handbook so parents are aware. LPA observed animals inside and outside of their enclosures. LPA did not observe animal feces on the grounds during the inspections, and staff interviews revealed if any of the children's clothing is soiled it is promptly addressed. In addition, LPA’s interviews and observations revealed children are being supervised by qualified staff.
Throughout the investigation, LPA conducted interviews with parents of currently and formerly enrolled children. LPA’s interviews revealed parents are satisfied with the care and supervision being provided by staff and noted they did not share any concerns about the center.
