25 | On 8/24/22, at 2:00 PM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Francisca Velazquez conducted an unannounced One Year Required inspection the abovementioned Child Care Center (CCC). LPA met with Beth Hassenplug, Administrator of the CCC and explained the purpose of the inspection. LPA, in the company of the Administrator toured the interior and exterior of the CCC. The CCC operates an from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday - Friday. The facility is a preschool age program with a toddler component. LPA notes that during this inspection there are thirty-four (34) preschool children being cared for by twelve (12) staff.
The CCC is clean and organized. The CCC has ventilation to afford for child care. LPA observed age appropriate toys and furnishings throughout the CCC. LPA observed carbon monoxide detectors in the CCC that was tested at 3:34 PM and was operable. The CCC's bathroom is in safe and sanitary operating condition. LPA notes the preschool license has a total of seven (7) toilets and seven (7) sinks accessible to children in care. Parents provide snack and meals to the children, all lunch bags are labeled with children's name on bag. The CCC has an operable refrigerator. The CCC provides the children in care filtered water inside the CCC and in the outside play area by means of individual water bottles. Administrator was reminded of the need to have the CCC's water sources tested for lead containments. Disinfectants are readily accessible to staff but out of reach of children. There is medication on site, medication is stored in a locked box. LPA observed a sign- in and sign-out sheets containing individual sign in sheets for each child. LPA reviewed sign-in and sign-out binder and notes that all children present were signed in with children's arrival and departures along the authorized representative.
The outdoor play area is enclosed by chain link fencing. The facility's toddler component has it's own yard that is separate from the preschool outdoor yard. LPA observed age appropriate toys/play equipment in the play area. The toys/play equipment are free of sharp, loose or pointed objects. The outdoor play area also has ample shade created by a tree and building overhangs.
