25 | On January 22, 2026, at 12:10 P.M. Licensing Program Analyst Joaquin Mendez conducted an unannounced Annual/Random inspection of the abovementioned Family Child Care Home (FCCH). LPA met with Blanca Cervantes, Licensee of the FCCH and explained the purpose of the inspection. LPA, in the company of the Licensee, toured the exterior and interior of the FCCH. At the time of inspection, the licensee was alone in the home. All children are in school and are expected to arrive after school.
This is a single-story home with 4 bedrooms, 3 baths, a living room, family room, kitchen, dining area, daycare room, garage, and backyard.The home’s family room just passed the living room, hall bathroom, kitchen, and dining room, daycare room, and backyard are used for childcare services. The rest of the home is excluded from daycare. LPA observed safety covers on the bedroom and garage doors making them all inaccessible to children in care. Additionally, LPA observed a chain lock on the garage as extra security against access. The FCCH is clean, orderly, and has ventilation to afford for the children’s comfort. Sharps are stored in an elevated kitchen cabinet. Chemicals and cleaning supplies are stored in the locked garage and medications are stored in the licensee’s locked bedroom. LPA note these items are inaccessible to children in care. The bathroom was observed to be clean and free of toxins. Toys, furniture and equipment observed in the FCCH are age appropriate. LPA observed required licensing forms and documents posted on a bulletin board near the entry door of the FCCH. LPA observed a smoke detector that was tested at 12:56PM and a carbon monoxide detector that was tested at 12:56PM. Both detectors were found to be operational. The FCCH has a regulation fire extinguisher (2A10BC) that was serviced on 1/21/2026. LPA reminded the Licensee to either service or purchase a regulation fire extinguisher annually.
The backyard is enclosed with brick fencing, and the entry/exit points are secured. The backyard contains Continue on LIC809C
