25 | On March 20, 2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Francisca Velazquez conducted an unannounced case management-deficiencies inspection at the Child Care Center (CCC). The purpose of this report is to document deficiencies observed during today's inspection. LPA was greet by Veronica Garcia, Teacher aide of the CCC and advised her the purpose of the inspection. LPAs observed nine (9) children being cared by S1 and S2. LPA notes Director arrived at the CCC about 20 minutes after the inspection initiated.
At 11:35 AM, LPA verified the list of fingerprinted adults in Guardian and found that S2 currently appears in process. Director reported that S2 has been employed with the CCC since about September 2023, and Director was under the impression that she was cleared and associated to this facility. A type A deficiency is being cited. Civil Penalty will be assessed. Appeals Rights were given.
This report is also to document a common trend that was expressed by parents during parent interviews. Various parents expressed having a concern with not being allowed in the CCC. LPA and Director discussed parent rights and Director understands that parents should be allowed in the center, as CCLD no longer has COVID-19 restrictions in place. A technical violation is being issued during today's inspection.
Today, deficiency cited under Title 22 Division 12. Appeal rights given. Upon receipt of this report, licensee shall post and provide copies of this licensing report to parents /guardian of children in care at the facility and to parent/guardians of children newly enrolled at the facility during the next 12 months. Licensee to provide LIC 9224 for each child in care and have each parent sign the form that they have received a copy of the report.
Exit interview was conduct and report was reviewed with Director, Kimberly Kranz. Notice of site visit was provided and must remain posted for the next 30 days.
