On November 21 2023 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Giovani Gonzalez conducted an unannounced Required - 3 Year inspection at the above-mentioned Family Child Care Home (FCCH) . LPA met with Licensee Yida Lozano and informed them the purpose of the inspection. LPA in the company of the Licensee toured the interior and exterior of the FCCH. The FCCH uses the living room, dining room backyard and 1 bathroom for child care purposes. At the time of the inspection there were 9 children present.

LPA observed age appropriate furniture and equipment in the FCCH's interior. LPA observed that the Licensee keeps their sharps in an elevated surface in the kitchen beyond the reach of children. LPA observed all the cabinets to be secured with child proof locks. LPA observed cleaning compounds to be stored on a elevated surface in the hallway, beyond the reach of children in care. LPA observed the bathroom used for child care purposes to be clean and free of toxins.

LPA observed all required licensing forms and documents to be posted on a board next to the entry way of the FCCH. LPA observed multiple combination smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in the FCCH. The detectors were not tested due to the children napping at the time of the inspection. Licensee stated that they test the alarms frequently. The FCCH has a regulation fire extinguisher which was purchase 4/1/2023. LPA reminded Licensee to either service or purchase a regulation fire extinguisher annually.

The backyard is enclosed by a wooden fence. LPA observed the sides of the home to be blocked. LPA observed the backyard to have age appropriate toys, furniture and equipment. LPA observed 3 storage sheds that contained materials for children's use. LPA observed the outdoor area to be free of hazards.

A sampling of children's files were reviewed and found to be current and complete. LPA also reviewed assistant's filse which were also found to be current and complete. Licensee's records were also reviewed
