32 | All parents interviewed stated, their children express joy when attending the above mentioned FCCH. Most parents stated, their children have not received a injury at the FCCH. However one parent did state their child received a small scratch on eyebrow area, however the scratch did not need medical attention. Every parent interviewed stated they would recommend this FCCH.
LPA interviewed licensee. The interview revealed Licensee has not observed any adult or any other child be aggressive to children in care at this FCCH. Licensee stated the children have a routine that provides structure and safe activities for children to partake in. LPA also interviewed Licensee’s assistant. The interview revealed, assistant mostly helps with food at this FCCH and assistant stated how assistant has not observed an adult, handle a child in a aggressive manner at this FCCH. LPA interviewed one child in care.The interview revealed information indicating children's personal rights are being respected at this FCCH.
Additionally as mentioned LPA conducted two unannounced visits. During those visits LPA observed licensee respect the personal rights of children by making/providing comfortable accommodations such as providing water, food, and activities for children to partake in when children do not wish to sleep.
Although the above allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violations did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is Unsubstantiated.
Exit interview conducted and report was read, in Spanish, to Licensee Claudia Hernandez. Appeal Rights was provided.
Notice of site visit was provided as required by Health and Safety Code Section 1596.817 and must remain posted in a prominent publicly accessible area in the center for 30 days, or a civil penalty of $100.00 will apply.
