32 | LPAs reviewed the facility file and found that the licensees Pediatric CPR and First Aid certificate indicates training was completed online only and did not include the required in-person, hands on component, a Type B deficiency will be cited based on observation & record review. Additionally, LPAs reviewed licensees’ current Mandated Reporter Training Certificate expires on 08/20/26. LPAs reminded that it is their responsibility to renew the certificates every two years. The regulation fire extinguisher (2A10BC) was observed with a service date of 10/03/2024, a Type B deficiency as Licensee did not have an annually serviced/purchased regulated fire extinguisher at the time of inspection. LPAs informed licensee it is their responsibility to annually service or purchase regulated fire extinguisher. LPAs tested a smoke detector at 02:08 PM and found it functional, LPAs note at the time of the inspection that a carbon monoxide detector was not present, a Technical Violation will be cited based on observation (please see LIC9102AN for further information). LPAs note licensees last fire/disaster drill was conducted last on 04/03/2026.

Licensee, was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
