25 | On 02/03/2025 ,Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) German Negrete conducted an unannounced Annual/Random inspection of the above mentioned Child Care Center (CCC). LPA met with, Maria Angulo Director of the CCC. LPA explained the purpose and nature of the inspection. The preschool program operates Monday – Friday 7:45AM to 5PM. At the time of inspection, LPA observed 10 children and 2 staff providing care and supervision. The CCC's Director is assisting with the care and supervision of children.
LPA observed required licensing forms and documents posted near the main door entry(License was not posted). A menu is also posted in a visible location. The CCC's children Sign In/Out forms were reviewed by LPA. The forms contained the arrival and departure times of 10 children in care as well as the signatures of the children's authorized representatives. The classrooms of the CCC are clean and orderly. The classrooms have age-appropriate equipment and furnishings available to children in care. The CCC's has multiple carbon monoxide detectors and smoke detectors. LPA tested Carbon Monoxide and smoke detector at 12:10PM, both were observed to be operable.
The CCC uses two restrooms for children in care. All restrooms are in sanitary condition. However CCC children are monitored by CCC staff when using the restrooms. LPA observed a operable refrigerator in the break room. If required, the refrigerator is used for food for children in care. The facility does not provide incidental medical services. The CCC provides snacks to children twice a day. Lunch is not provided to children in care at this CCC. The CCC also has available filtered drinking water for children inside and outside of the facility. CCCs constructed before 1/1/2020, to test their water (used for drinking and food preparation) for lead contamination before 1/1/2023, and then every 5-years except after the date of the first test.
