| Regarding allegation#1 staff left a daycare child untended: LPA interviewed multiple parents, most of whom stated they had not observed the facility providing care and supervision to children without having enough staff to supervise them (See LIC812). Every parent interviewed stated they would recommend this CCC.
LPA also reviewed the staff handbook 2025-2026, which provides guidance on page 7, regarding proper children-to-teacher/staff ratios as outlined by Title 22 California Code of Regulations (See LIC812). LPA also reviewed and confirmed CCC policy for unexpected call outs is written on page 25 of the staff hand book (see LIC812).
LPA conducted staff interviews, which revealed that staff are familiar with the proper children-to-teacher ratio as outlined in Title 22 CCR. All staff who were interviewed acknowledged that the correct ratio is 12 children for every 1 qualified teacher. Furthermore, all staff interviewed stated they have never observed a staff leave a child without any care or supervision.
LPA interviewed two preschool children. The interviews revealed, the aforementioned preschool children have not been been left unattended.
As mentioned LPA conducted two unannounced visits. During those visits LPA did not observe a child left without any care and supervision at the CCC.
Although the above allegation may or may not have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur, therefore allegation is Unsubstantiated.
Exit Interview conducted and report was reviewed with director Brittney Grimshaw. Appeal rights were provided to Director.
Notice of site visit was provided and must be posted in a publicly prominent area of the Facility.
