Licensee was reminded to replace toy and play equipment when such begins to degrade or is not in good repair. LPA observed no bodies of water were observed on site.
A sampling of staff and children's records were reviewed. The children’s records were complete and found to contain emergency contact information, immunization records and electronic logs documenting 15 minute sleep checks, among other licensing required documents. LPA reviewed Individual Sleep plans which were completed appropriately. Staff records were reviewed and current with Pediatric First Aid/CPR (EMSA Approved) and Mandated Reporter Training certifications, as well as documentation supporting qualifications and experience. Licensee informed LPA no firearms are on site.
This facility provides Incidental Medical Services – IMS. LPA reviewed storage of “medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children’s, personnel, and administrative records. Facility representative was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
Facility representative was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California.
A Type B Deficiency are being cited based on LPA's observation and interview pursuant to Title 22 of the CA Code of Regulations (refer to LIC 809-D). Licensee was provided a copy of their Appeal Rights (LIC 9058) and their signature on this form acknowledges receipt of these rights.
