32 | The FCC provides snacks and lunches for the children in care. In the home, drinking water is supplied with a water container and outside drinking water is supplied with a pitcher. LPA notes each child in care has his/her own drinking cup and is labeled. Licensee provides brochure information to parents with information about lead in water supply and was verified by LPA.
Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, and medications in FCC are in the garage which is inaccessible to children in care. Sharps are in a locked upper cabinet in the kitchen and are inaccessible to children in care with a gate. LPA observed the required fire extinguisher (2A10BC) in the home and was serviced on 1/23/2024. LPA reminded Licensee of the responsibility to service or purchase a regulation fire extinguisher annually.
The FCC's outdoor playground areas are enclosed by fencing. The fence's entry/exit gates are secured and the footing in the areas is made up of various surfaces such as Synthetic grass and paved concrete. Toys, furnishings and play equipment in the outdoor area is age appropriate. The toys, furnishing and play equipment are in suitable condition and free of sharp, loose or pointed objects. The play structures in the playground areas have cushioning materials to absorb falls on outdoor structures. Licensee was advised to provide shade for children in care as the weather permits for hotter weather. Licensee is reminded to replace toys, furnishing and play equipment when they degrade and are not in good order. No bodies of water were observed on site.
LPA’s record review revealed Preventative Health training was complete on 2/21/2020. Further, Licensee completed Mandated Reporter training and expires 9/12/2024 and Pediatric CPR/First Aid (EMSA approved) and expires 5/09/2026. Continue 809C pg3
