25 | On 1/9/2024, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Francisca Velazquez and Gigi Reyes, conducted an unannounced Required Inspection. LPAs met with Licensee, Alyssa Correa and Assistant, Daniela M. Flores. LPAs discussed the nature and purpose of the inspection with the Licensee and together we toured the inside and outside of the home. LPAs note there are six (6) children present along with Licensee and assistant.
The main day care areas are the daycare living room, bathroom, and one (1) bedroom. LPAs observed the day care area to be clean and orderly. LPAs observed a fireplace that is secured by means of a secured gate. LPAs observed age-appropriate books, toys, games, tables, and chairs. LPAs observed a secured gate between the kitchen and the day-care areas. Additionally, LPAs observed a secured gate on the stairway of the home, making the entire second floor inaccessible to children in care. The restroom that used for day-care services was observed to be clean and free of toxins. The backyard is completely fenced and at the moment is off-limits to children in care. No bodies of water were observed.
Licensee stated that there are no weapons/ammunition in the home. Licensee stated she does not hold a foster family license. LPAs conducted children file reviews and found the files to be complete and current with 15 minute checks for all infants. The facility roster was complete and available at the time of the inspection. The fire extinguisher was observed and was purchased, 11/20/23. There is a functioning combination carbon monoxide and smoke detector that was tested at 11:00 AM, and meets statutory requirements. The last Safety drill was conducted on 8/2/23. LPA reviewed Licensee and Assistant's file and found both files to be complete and current. Licensee and assistant are current with immunization required per SB 792. Licensee is current with CPR and First Aid which expires 5/7/24. Licensee completed the Mandated Reporter Training on 8/20/23, that is required per AB 1207.
