25 | On July 06, 2022 at 12:15 PM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPA's) Francisco Pedroza and Susana Martinez conducted an unannounced Pre-licensing inspection. LPA's met with Business Administrator Danielle Garcia and advised her the purpose of the inspection. Administrator provided LPA's a tour of the facility inside and out. There were no children in care at the time of the inspection.
Facility is located on a local church premises. LPA observed the required licensing documents mounted on the wall at the entrance of the facility. Infants will bring their own lunch and snacks from home. The facility will be using two (2) classrooms for children in care. LPA observed each classroom had age appropriate toys, activities, and furniture readily accessible for children in care. LPA's observed the infant crib area had three (3) cribs readily available. Infants over 12 months or that have the ability to stand in the crib will be transferred to a sleeping mat. LPA's advised administrator to ensure they have enough sleep mats and cribs for the children at all times. On May 6, 2022, facility submitted a waiver to Community Care Licensing (CCL) requesting to utilize part of the indoor activity space as a napping area for the children. The waiver was approved on June 6, 2022. Facility is required to follow the waiver requirements at all times. The waiver can be voided by CCL at any time should the facility not follow the requirements. The waiver must be posted in view at all times. A walkway must be separated from the sleep mats so staff do not step over children. LPA's spoke with Administrator about safe sleep requirements and infant needs and services plans. The facility has one (1) outdoor recreation yard with age appropriate toys and structures. Water will be available for children inside and out.
LPA's reviewed with Administrator the LIC 311A, Records To Be Maintained At The Facility, for child’s records, personnel records, administrative records, and documents to be posted. LPA discussed information capacity, ratios, current Covid-19, and safe sleep requirements.
